WTB Crossover Kayak

Looking for a crossover kayak. Technically I need a Small/9' one since I am only 110lbs but I am also almost 6 foot tall with long legs so I don't quite know if I will fit. May have to get a Medium/10' crossover. My main kayak is a Tsunami 145. Plan to get up to OMTC soon and sit in some, my friend has a Katana 10.4 but it sure was hard for me to roll that wide thing.

Don't want to go over $600. Still saving money and trying to sell another kayak but if you are thinking of getting rid of your crossover let me know what you have.

I'm going to look at reviews tonight but I doubt I will be interested in a LL Remix 9/10 due to the hatch leaking, I plan to camp out of it and need all the dry I can get.

There are some nice crossover models out there and I'm sure you will find one that is a good fit and is set up well for the type of paddling you like. If I still did overnighters on the river and needed to haul camping gear, I would want a boat with a decent-sized hatch cover to make loading the gear easier. I have a couple of boats with small round covers that would be a pain to get bulkier items through.
From my experience with the several recreational and crossover kayaks we have owned over the years, they will all accumulate some amount of water in the rear area, mainly due to leakage under the foam bulkhead, especially after the boat is older. I would rely most on packaging stuff in dry bags than to rely on a dry hatch to remain very dry. IMHO
My wife has paddled a Remix 10' for several years and I think I like the size of the rear hatch on her boat the best for access. I don't know if LL has changed the hatch cover on later models of this boat but our experience has been very good, not much leakage at all.

Rob is the fusion all you have there? Also what sizes? I'm from fort smith so I want to sit in as many as possible for the trip.

After reading reviews I will be looking for a katana, fusion, ethos, rogue, or traverse. I think timing and funds will most likely determine which I get.

Rob if you see this I will be by tomorrow to check it out. OMTC is getting a Katana 9.7 in so I can try out the Katana 10.4/9.7 and Traverse 9/10 then I will be over there to check out the Fusion Medium. I'm leaving Fort Smith around 3pm and will hit OMTC by 5pm so probably be there around 6pm.

*UPDATE*

Well, shipping error made it so I didn't get to sit in the Katana 9.7 but the 10.4 is way too big for me. The Traverse 10 was way too big as well but the 9 fit very well. I was also able to sit in the Fusion Medium and it wasn't as snug as the Traverse 9 but it didn't feel overly big. I think if I had moved the bulkhead up it might have been more snug. As of right now if I buy new it will be the Traverse. But I have some saving to do until I can look into actually buying new so maybe used will pop up.

If anyone has any of these, is within an hour'ish drive of Fort Smith, and wouldn't mind letting a fellow ACC member just sit in it I would really appreciate just so I know for sure.

Check with Tulsa Kayak and see what they have. They did have some good pricing on crossovers.

Thanks for the recommendation, I did check with them and Oklahoma City kayak. They can actually have kayaks sent to them from Oklahoma City, pretty neat. They didn't have much more than what OMTC can get, I think they had one Ethos 10 in Okla City.
