Hi:
Thinking about heading down to the Frog Bayou this weekend. It's a long drive for me (coming from Kansas City). What is a good level?
USGS shows 2.84 right now (Friday afternoon ). Will that be a decent run tomorrow?
Frog gauge
Re: Frog gauge
I think the lower Mulberry would be a better bet or the Ford (Kayak Park).
I've been running the Frog for years and don't mind ELFs. The way the gauge currently reads I'm not going to go to the Frog if the gauge is below 3' as a general rule. Couple weekends ago for the Frog cleanup I floated it at 2.5' and on a 3 mile section I had to walk my boat down two drops and the others I was scraping and bouncing down.

I say, and I intend it emphatically, let the river be.

Did you hit the Frog on Sat? If so, how was it?
