Cleaning masking tape residue off royalex

I restained the canoe and some parts were closer to th sun and the masking tape left a residue on the canoe. What's best way to get it off without messing up the boat. I have tried denatured alcohol already with no luck. Thanks!!

WD 40 should get it off.

Mineral spirits is the way to go.
