EAST GAFFORDS CREEK TUESDAY, 4/12/16 ?

If the rain hits the right area in Yell County on Monday, I'm up for a run down East Gaffords Creek. The Class II+ creek runs 5 miles out of the Ouachita Mountains north to Highway 28 at Bluffton which is southwest of Danville. Some questions immediately come to mind:

WILL THIS BE A FIRST DESCENT?
WILL YOU BE A PART OF THE FIRST GROUP OF PADDLERS TO SUCCESSFULLY NAVIGATE ITS RAPIDS?
DOES A WILLOW BRANCH TASTE BETTER THAN A WITCH HAZEL BRANCH?
DID THE PADDLER BELOW RUN THE CREEK AND BRING THE GOATS TO CLEAR A PATH THROUGH THE BRUSH?

I expect the run to be fun and full of surfing spots. IF THE RAIN COOPERATES I plan to be at the gas station/grocery store in Plainview at the intersection of Highways 9 and 26 at 11:00 a.m. I will check the rain amount about 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday and will post here if the water looks like it will be there. My photo collection from the creek can be seen at

Only 0.6 inches of rain as of 7:00 p.m.; not looking like the trip will take place. I'll check the gage in the morning.

DOES A WILLOW BRANCH TASTE BETTER THAN A WITCH HAZEL BRANCH?
