Hi guys, I'm Jake. Just picked up a little Pelican Intrepid 100x the other day. I already hit up the Little Maumelle on Thursday. I was out for about 4hrs before I got too cold. It was really low and I had to drag it in several spots. I was thinking about hitting up the Grassy Lake Water Trail tomorrow morning since the water level should be higher. If any wants to come or has another idea for a better spot, let me know. I think its calling for rain tomorrow but not until 5pm. Would love to get out on the water tomorrow. Anything within 50 miles of Little Rock is ok. The plan is to paddle a bunch this summer, cant wait to join up with you guys.

It's still a bit cold for me but I'm in Little Rock as well and once it warms I plan to be paddling lots this year. Lake Winona, Willow Beach, & Cane Creek are a few spots nearby you might enjoy. I'm Keith. Nice to meet you Jake.

It's too cold for me today, but there should be plenty of water. Keep an eye out here for more wetland float trips. I have a schedule of trips posted but throw in an extra once in a while. Check out Wattensaw Bayou and Bayou Deview also.
Cowper is out on a boat recovery mission today, but may stop by and see you on Grassy.
Have fun!

It was a great day. I had the whole place to myself. I wore a beanie, 3 light layers on top, and frogtogg pants over a pair of khakis. I was warm all day. I ended up staying out there 4-5hrs. Did a lot of practicing on steering through the trees at speed.

I did swing by, later in the afternoon, and saw two other kayakers getting off to a late start. Sorry we missed you, but glad you had a good time.
