Hey folks, we are having 2, one day swiftwater rescue course on Monday 7/27/15 & Saturday 8/1/15 . I'm trying some Monday's out through the summer mostly because there is a lot of tubers floating down the two drops during the summer on the weekends . If this works out we will be holding more on Mondays.

We concentrate on personal preparation, rescue philosophy , rescue priorities, equipment, river hazards & hydrology, throw ropes, rope safety, wading, swimming & self rescue skills & much more. We mainly focus on self rescue skills which makes for a long/fun day. This is a great start to begin learning SWR skills & gives you more experience before going into L4 SWR course. One of the most important thing about being safer on the river is to practice over & over with the skills you have learned . Experience !

This course does require a throw rope, thermal-protection gear, good pair of high top water shoes, helmet made for the water, type 3 whitewater pfd.

The course will be $65 .

Really like the Monday idea. 7/27 Class going to try and get Rhonda in that one.

Both these courses are filling up fast yet! There is still 3 spots left for the 7/27 course . We still have several spots left for the course on 8/1.

I've been watching the water levels and it looks like it will drop before the class.
I am looking forward to these....
