Those of you who know Diane and I also know our dogs. Our fine pup Zuli died Sunday and I wanted to share my blog post with those who knew her:

In my earliest days as a member of the canoe club, I remember first meeting you at Rockport one day in the mid-late 1990's and proudly saying, I was looking for this fellow I hadn't met yet named 'Cow-Per', that was supposed to be there that day,( you grinned and set me right on the proper pronunciation) I am very sorry to hear that you and Diane have lost your dog Zuli. Marlo and I have our ten-year old Lab/Chow mix dog, Blackie, and we really enjoy him more every day as he gets older, the joy he brings to us, like your dog, is irreplaceable.

Life is some times short, Memories are for ever.

All we can do is give thanks for the time we have together.

Paw prints on the heart last a lifetime.

So sorry for your loss but what memories you made together.
