don't quit....Update the fleet!
I did trade in the old heavy 16 foot canoe for a 33lb. old town pack solo canoe though.& paddle a 5'6" Star WW kayak
things have really changed since the Dancer days, you might change your mind if you tried out one of the new kayaks
if you can roll that dancer, you can probably hand roll these new WW kayaks, they are much easier to roll now! ( extra easy compared to a Dancer) and the "crossover" choices just keep getting better allowing you to do slow or fast rivers, while giving us old farts a comfy seat
if your not on the river, how will the younger paddlers learn anything without you there telling them how much harder it was back in the day when a 11ft WW kayak was radically short, and before shuttles were invented, we paddled up to the put in before we could do the run. and remind them how much easier they have it now

I can put my JK star in my back seat and go! while the dancer would need a red flag on the end that sticks out 4 feet beyond my trucks tailgate, and almost as long as my rec. boat :)
