River Valley Trash Cleanup April 18th

The Arkansas Canoe Club River Valley Chapter will be involved in the Fort Smith Spring Cleanup again this year . Our target will be Massard Creek as it comes under Rogers Ave. Bamboo Lagoon Restaurant has replaced Gringo's. Owner, Kevin Dorey, has agreed to let us launch our canoes and kayaks from the bank below the parking lot. Bamboo Lagoon is located at 9709 Rogers Ave. We will meet there and try to begin around 9:30 AM and paddle and pick up trash for about 2 hours or until we get all the trash ( more people = less time). Everyone is welcome to join in. Most of the trash is along the shore but in grass and weeds, so if you have a trash claw bring it, along with your boats, paddles, mesh bags, and lifejackets. Then we will hang out and socialize for a while at Bamboo Lagoon and revel in what a great job WE did! Kevin will buy you a BEVERAGE( or two)!!!

I have some rec boats and canoes if anyone needs a bigger boat to haul more trash. Let me know and we can discuss logistics.
