Canoe Instructor Update

Hello Canoe Instructors: I am planning to offer a canoe instructor update during the ACC School of White Water Paddling. The current plan is to offer 3 one day opportunities to update. The first opportunity will be during the day on Friday beginning around 10 AM. I already have 2 instructors lined up for this session and can handle up to 3 more without any problem. I am scheduled to paddle with at least 1 class to update an instructor on either Saturday or Sunday which leaves one day open to paddle with another group and do the update process with that instructor. The slots will be filled on a first come first serve basis (3 additional on Friday and 1 either Saturday or Sunday)

There will be a $20 per instructor charge for this process to cover the cost of printed material. The process will include some ACA information review, on the water skills and teaching practices assessment, and a sharing of teaching tips and tricks. You will need to provide current First Aid/CPR documentation and current ACA and SEIC membership documentation.

To take advantage of this opportunity please contact me (wfelton@ipa.net) to sign up so that I can coordinate timing for the different groups and have the appropriate amount of printed material. I will share more specifics about timing and other issues with instructors who are interested.
