CPR course for Paddlers March 1st- NW Arkansas
Posted: Mon Feb 02, 2015 1:31 pm
We will be offering a CPR/AED certification course on March 1st in Winslow (about 25 min south of Fayetteville) at the Old Winslow High School.
The course will start at 3:30pm and will last approximately 3.5 hrs.
This course will, in addition to standard content, include significant considerations for paddlers who may be involved in attempting resuscitation on a drowning victim.
If you've not taken our CPR course, you hopefully paddle with someone who has! We bring a very real world approach to our courses and you will be pleasantly surprised to discover that CPR can actually be a fun class!
The certification is through nationally accredited ASHI and is current for two years.
If you are interested in participating, please contact me ASAP at 479-595-1655 or at SwiftwaterRescue@gmail.com, as these typically fill very quickly and will be capped at 12 participants. The course fee is 40.00, and if you are a current ACC member, contact your chapter president about reimbursement opportunities. This program is covered at 100% for current ACC members.
Best Regards,
Tom
