CPR Class cancelled

Post by SteveGabbard » Sun Jan 25, 2015 7:03 pm

****** Class canceled due to lack of participants.

Arkansas Canoe Club members are eligible for a free CPR class on February 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. This is an American Heart Association class which should meet the certification requirements for ACA Instructors (however, you do not need to be an instructor to take advantage of this opportunity). The class covers infant, youth, and adult CPR and AED devices. It will be given at UAMS in Little Rock. If want to sign up please email me at gabbardsteve@sbcglobal.net with your name and phone number.

The classes are filled on a first come first serve basis through email only. Please do not post on this thread or pm me to try to sign up.

Don't miss this awesome opportunity for ACC members. You never know when CPR skills will be needed on or off the river.

Thanks,
Steve

Aly recently took a Red Cross CPR, AED, and first aid class through her work. Has the chapter investigated that combo?

The Instructor we have been using is less expensive than the advertised Red Cross price. He is also very flexible schedule wise.

The Red Cross basic first aid is not sufficient for the situations most boaters are likely to encounter. I have not had the pleasure of taking one of their Wilderness First Aid classes.

I will say that the WFA class Tom Burroughs teaches is excellent and I would highly recommend it.

We've had the WFA from Tom too and like it.
