Spirits Creek Bridge - Status?

Drove up there on the opening weekend of deer season and the bridge was still closed. Work appeared to be complete but bridge was blocked by large boulders.
Anyone been up there lately to see if the road has been reopened? Any word on plans to reopen if still closed?

Stopped in Turner Bend before we floated yesterday and asked.
The response was that the repair had been completed, but it was done to the standard of the old bridge. They need to do a few more additional things before it gets inspected again.
There was no time table for the future inspection or additional repair.

E-mailed my question to the FS and received this reply:
Dave, no projections yet on the opening of spirits creek bridge. Still waiting on some braces to be put in by another contractor. When it is reopened, we will let the public know. Thanks.
Confirms what KRU is reporting. Sounds like they are upgrading the bridge and waiting on a contractor.
Sure hope this gets completed soon.
