Lake Atalanta spillway? Rogers

Post by semast » Tue Nov 18, 2014 3:37 pm

Anyone ever run this? Looks like it would be a fun, quick slide at the right water level.

Did a little sleuthing, looks like a wild ride at the right levels.

I live super close to this...I will keep an eye on it, if I see it looking fat I will post up some pics etc. I haven't ever thought about paddling it though...I think you should be able to eddie out on river right before you get to a low water bridge that could be a hazard

yes I saw that and maybe one more potential hazard further down on google earth as I traced the creek to Beaver Lake.

I've been mapping the lake area for work. Finally made a trip up yesterday to finish out the project and that got me jones'n. It drops about 40 feet over 600 feet to the first/only eddy above the bridge. Would be a heck of a ride I bet.

Probably best to make it a quick stealth run. I think there used to be signs up that said to keep out, but that was a long time ago since I looked at it. If you catch it, get some video! - M- 8)
