Fourche Crk Cleanup - 10/5/2014 (Update - report)
Posted: Sat Oct 04, 2014 8:26 pm
We'll be hitting Fourche Creek in Little Rock again tomorrow, Sunday.
Meeting at 11 AM at Interstate Park boat ramp
Plug N34.7082 W92.285 into google earth or the mapping program of your choice. Be aware, some programs will move these coordinates to the nearest road, so if it doesn't put you on the creek near a ball field, that's probably what happened.
I know this is very short notice, but this won't be your "standard" clean up, so if you can make it, I promise you'll find it entertaining. We'll be using pulleys, ropes, and various implements of destruction in an effort to get the boat up and floating again. If we fail, we'll at least try to get it up on the bank so we can come back later and float it after it dries out, or cut it into smaller pieces.
If you can't make 11, just find the spot, you'll see our vehicles there. Put in and start paddling upstream; you'll find us about 1.7 miles from the ramp, so it will probably take you about 45 minutes to get there.
