However, it must be done.1. There will be someone at the front gate to direct you to the designated gathering point. Your arrival time is up to you, but keep in mind the carnage will ensue at dark:30.
2. Each steed will be manned by one paddler and one jouster.
3. There will be one lance provided per boat.
4. PFDs and helmets must be worn. If you have extras of either please bring them. You know how that goes.
5. LANCE STRIKES MUST BE CONFINED TO THE TORSO. ANY DEVIATION FROM THIS WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION.
6. Style points are critical and will be awarded however the judges see fit. That said, things like costumes and taunting will be countenanced VERY favorably. Creative team names will also curry favor.
7. I'll have to confer with the judges regarding scoring, but I can say that a forcible dismounting of your opponent will garner the most points with a knock down resulting in the second most. Causing your opponents' steed to flip will be credited as a forcible dismount. The heat is over when the jouster is knocked down.
8. Not enough people complied with my request to sign up (what a surprise
) so I was never able to come up with any sorts of divisions. However, I expect quite a few teams and will do my bestest to match them appropriately. That's all I can do.9. This will be a single elimination tourney. Prizes will be awarded.
