Tell me about the HTTD. I've never heard of/seen one. Is it a trick competition?

I was given a 2:30 start time. Is it 2:00? If so I'll have to change the schedule I sent yesterday.

Charles,
Yeah, pretty much, all in fun, not a hard core competition. Get on the wave and do your stuff. All levels and craft are eligible. Surely someone closer to the event will chime in here. Don't miss it.

Unfortunately I will not be there :(

If anybody knows anybody who has pictures and/or video of the HTTD at Rendezvous, please send them my way.

I was telling my wife this long story [full of detailed exaggerations] about how two newbie WW paddlers from Siloam Springs swept the competition at HTTD representing the NWA chapter. My wife has never paddled [yet] or even seen the Ouachita WW park and a picture speaks so much more than words.

THANKS! :yahoo:

Thanks, I'll try and find those posts!

Tom, thanks. The main reason I want to find video is to see what in sam hill you did to put me upside down!! :eh:
All I saw was an orange blurr and suddenly I was looking at the bottom of a boat!

Oh...and Tom...you gotta ask if anybody has video of you and Kru's first jousting match. THAT was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. When that guy tried to stand up... ...and the second match. Holy cow...they need to dub a Gladiator scene with "FINISH HIM!!" being chanted in the background as Kru takes the championship. Both matches should be in a promo video for next year!!

That HTTD was one of the best spectator sports I have seen in a while.

The carnage was great (in a relatively safe way) and I couldn't stop laughing.

Congrats Rich and Charles and our "other" NW winners Mo and Donny who stole the show at the potluck.

It was pretty awesome to watch! Can’t wait to see the video, Trent!

Mike, I have some photo’s (taken from my phone). Here's the link to my FB photo album (I've made the album public, so you should be able to see the photo's):
https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set ... 4c83b99be8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

There was certainly a lot of carnage!!! I give props to Tom Burroughs, Averie and Crash for awesome 8-baller (is that the correct terminology?) skills. Crash took on a raft... and managed to board the raft before being tossed out. Averie literally had Mo paddling halfway down the river. And, I'm pretty sure Tom managed to pull every contestant's skirts in that last round. Sorry, I don't know everyone else's names, or I'd mention a few of you others and your mad skills, too!

Still not sure where the finish line was. Charles was still recovering from Tom flipping him over, when Donny and Mo got to the bank. Rich was sneaky... he managed to avoid the worst of the carnage! Everyone did awesome, and once those 8-ballers got involved, it was a ton of fun to watch.

Good job everyone!!
