Planning to attend The King Biscuit Blues Festival In Helena, October 8-10, (http://www.kingbiscuitfestival.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) and doing a paddle from Helena Harbor to Buck Island. (http://www.island63.com/helena-buck_island.cfm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) Saturday and/or Sunday morning.

This trip goes mostly between the mainland and the island so more sheltered than being in the Mississippi's main channel - but you will be able to brag that you've paddled the Big Muddy! Day trip/overnight? lots of possibilities. Primitive camping is allowed on the island. Helena also sets up a Tent City for the duration of the Blues festival. (Warning hotels in and near Helena are already booked solid.)

If you haven't paddled the Mississippi or ever done the Biscuit - here's your chance!

Quapaw Canoe Company does a rental canoe service (even some 4-person canoes) if any WW boaters want to try something different for this trip.

Open to timing and length of trip if any others are interested.
