Sweet!

You should swing by and make Chester bring his 1-K.

Meeting at the falls means not running to the 278 bridge?
The people I'll be with want to run to the bridge but we will see how it plays out.
Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Victor

More than 20 paddlers (one open boat) We had several first timers with the expected results. There are rumors of an injury but I wasn't there , so I will leave it to someone who knows what happened to tell that story. BOB

I was at the Falls until after 5; maybe almost 6 by the time I left. Didn't hear of any injuries, but some late arrivals were about to go up for another run so???

Bob, did you hear those rumors while you were still at the river, or later in the evening?

Our group were the last ones off the river Friday. Never saw anyone that was hurt on the river or at the parking lot. We did talk to a guy that got worked in the machine and then swam whiplash. But he was walking around fine in the parking lot.

Cooper, the injury occurred before we went to pick up the cars at Ed Banks. Jake Lawrence ( sorry if I misspelled ) tipped in B.M.F. I saw his boat take a little bump while upside-down. I was standing next to Debbie his mom, when I saw hand on the bottom of his boat. I said to Debbie " he is going to swim" which he did. Two ropes were set at the "Machine" but neither were is a position to be of assistance. Jake was upstream and river left of the ropes and looked as if he was going to swim into said Machine. Everyone was yelling for him to swim, which he did vigorously. He made it to shore and retrieved his boat and we all though that all was well. But Jake then asked his mom to do the shuttle which he previously had said he would do.
That was the last that I knew until arriving back in Hot Springs. I got a call from Debbie asking which was the best hospital in Hot Springs. Apparently the "little bump" that I had witnessed was Jakes head bouncing off a rock. The result was a punctured ear drum and a concussion. BOB
