Let the battle begin!

Ok, all you DO masters and masters-in-training: Get your best recipe perfected, your briquette count exact, and get your stuff to the Rendezvous Dutch Oven Cook Off. We'll shoot for 6pm Saturday (adjustments can be made closer to) in time to have judging complete before the Pot Luck. Plan on having a serving or two for judging, enough for your family, and share the rest at the Pot Luck.

To reduce competition, I am bowing out this year but will offer my two DO's for a couple of interested newbies who may not have the cast iron on hand. My award-winning recipes and advice are available for certain considerations: :beer2:

Yes, Larry Crane and Roger Head, you are back in the race.

Rules (there aren't many) and prizes (to write home about) forthcoming. Watch this space and "Rules" thread
This is a " one pot/dish" contest.

Let the trash talking commence! :hammer2:

Tim, your bowing out may reduce crowding, but probably won't affect the competition:)

Well played, Larry. Got any unused vessels about that you'd be willing to let newbies use? Just trying to get more folks involved. Smart@%% retort to follow later.

As a matter of fact I might have a DO or two I would be willing to lend to a newbie... As we are in the process of moving, I will set a spare or two aside! Crane

Regarding spares, I have several. Little Deuce has stated her intention to cook the competition, but I'll be glad to lend four or five to anyone interested.

If Okieboater enters a dish, he has to have one hand tied behind his back, preferably the right one. And Roger has to wear his PFD :poke2:
