NRS Chaos Helmet Recall

Jim Frank at Ozark Outdoor Supply told me today that NRS is voluntarily recalling its Chaos Side-Cut Helmets. The rivets that hold the chin strap in place have a manufacturing defect. If you bought one of these helmets between April 21st and July 7th of this year, contact your local NRS dealer to get a replacement.

Yeah thanks for this I bought my son a Chaos back in March or April from OOS.

Just got this # from the guys at OOS they are saying NRS wants to deal with the customer direct.

Called Jim at OOS, and he advised me to call NRS. I spoke with a guy named Will from NRS. Great customer service, I decided to upgrade to a better helmet, which ships free and should be here Friday. As soon as I ship them the old helmet, they will credit me for it. Return shipping is also free. Look for me in my new WRSI this weekend.

UPS brought me the new helmet about half an hour ago.
I have to say I'm impressed by NRS's customer service.
