Hi Folks,

Well, it is that time again. We will be offering our ever popular Level 4 ACA Swiftwater Rescue Course on Aug. 2-3 at Porterfield's (directly across from the Rockport whitewater park) in Malvern, AR. This location allows for free onsite riverside camping and ZERO drive time, which gives us additional time on the water!

Our swiftwater courses are unique in that we employ an experiential learning approach to learning with so little lecture time that you might find yourself wishing for a powerpoint or two! If you are looking for a relaxing weekend, this is not it. What it is though is an opportunity to quickly learn and refine the latest in self rescue techniques and methods that you've quite possibly never even seen before to help yourself and others.

We focus heavily on aggressive techniques that will help you solve big problems when your day on the river doesn't go quite as planned.. Self rescue, rope skills, swimming tactics, and ways to manage pinned craft and entrapped paddlers are just a portion of what we practice in this fast paced 2 day weekend.

The cost of this weekend is STILL only 125.00 for ACC members (half of what this course normally runs) and as mentioned, includes onsite camping Friday and Saturday night.
