Yeah, I know its way early. This way you can plan and have no reason not to show up and have a blast. Porterfields (west side of Outachita River at the Ledge (Rockport), Malvern Whitewater Park, or whatever name you like. Gate will be open by 10 am, lunch will be ready at 11 so you downriver folks will have time to eat and get up to the dam.

Central Chapter will provide burgers and dogs,expertly prepared by Master Chef Chris Martin . Buns and condiments will also be provided. The rest is "pot luck", bring enough for you, your family, and a little more. Make sure to bring you own beverages, including water! Miss Ellie and Jim Krueger have volunteered to set up lunch.

There are no "official, chapter-sponsored activities" other than lunch. A thread regarding downriver floats will be posted by the usual suspects.

Big thanks to First Security Bank of Benton for the use of their big Teal Grill.

Unfortunately, I will have to miss this year's festivities, but you are in capable hands. Please post up to offer more information as the date approaches.

OK so Surf and Turf is just around the corner. I plan on being there around 8:30 to open the gate and start getting the grill fired up. Should have some burgers and a few dogs ready before the down river float. Jim Krueger has graciously
offered to get the produced and some tables. Will need some side dishes as well so hoping some people will be glad to do that. If you do give a shout out here so we know who's bringing what.

Jim will also be organizing the down river trip so if you have questions feel free to post them here. If you have any questions ask. We will be locking the gate up at 5:00 that afternoon so please make sure you have all your stuff.

Look forward to seeing every one there and hopefully we will have this great cool weather we are experiencing now.

Riptide the dip sounds good! There is no HTTD this year at S&T, but the water will be good and the food also. So everyone come on out and have a good time!

BTW Chris, I wouldn't worry too much about the lack of commitments of participation and food. There will be plenty of both if history is any indication. See you Saturday!
