NW Chapter Pint Night, Pack Rat, Wed 6-18 5:30
The Northwest Chapter will be the benefactors of Pack Rat's Pint Night series this coming Wednesday (6-18-14) from 5:30-8:00pm. This event is open to everyone.
If you have not been to one of these (they do three per year all of which benefit a different non-profit) they are a good time. New Belgium Brewery will donate kegs and there is a suggested $2.00 donation per pint. Furthermore, Jose's will donate chips, queso, & salsa for a suggested $2.00 donation. All the proceeds from these sales/donations will go to the Northwest Chapter! There should be live music and several vendors will donate goods to raffle. Again all the proceeds from the raffle ticket sales will go to the Northwest Chapter.
Because Wednesdays are our typical evening to play boatball, we will play our game in their pond. Apparently, boatball used to be played here in the past. Teams will need to be kept small because of limitations with the size of the pond, but we could probably play several short matches. Pack Rat may have some boats to demo, but if you have extra gear bring it along and maybe we can get some new boaters on the water. It should be fun to play or fun to watch, particularly with a pint in your hand.
Tell everyone you know and come join us on Wednesday. Let's make this a huge success so we get asked back again, and so that we can help to raise funds for our eastern travels and membership appreciation party.
Post up if you are interested in boatball.
See you next Wednesday,
kru

Will there be trained "pond rescue" folks available? How many pints are allowed for a boatball player? Will a Harmony nose plug stay in place while vomiting under water?
Why do I feel these questions [although meant in humor] will come back to haunt me? Where is that delete button.....

Have you not watched me play boatball at all? Figured you would have learned this by now. You have plenty of outfitting that could use a little carving to store a beverage.magicmike wrote:Kru-If you can show me how to play boat ball with a "pint in hand", I'm in!-M-

You said "pint in your hand", but I'm in just to show the folks "open boats rule".-M-

We are monitoring the water levels of the pond. It may be too low to play boatball.
I will bring my boat regardless to "advertise" that the ACC is representing.
