You should find many boaters at the Tot tomorrow unless it's some type of Hallmark Holiday or something. Looks like there's a crew there today. I see the river is on the rise now and from the looks of the radar it may get even more rain. It may get big!
Happy Paddling!

Somebody will post up, unless everyone is camping. Don't trust my tires for that shuttle trip.

I'm headed down and expect to be there before noon. And staying thru Monday. Finally out of school! As of noon today! Could be around 11 or so. Expect lots of folks there for sure.

today was considerably more epic than the gauge indicated. At 4pm the ranger at the falls campground said close to 7'
i was guessing over 5.5.

Correct - the 246 gauge isn't showing it because it was all from feeder creeks below the gauge, but the river rose to over 6' for sure. So there should still be plenty of water for Sunday (more than even the gauge will show).

Yee Haw! 7 ft. Not a clue what that feels like. About 4 is the tallest I've done. Might very well need that pin kit but more likely search and rescue down about Gillam Lake. For sure would need a wrecker if I had a flat with a15 year old rotten spare.

we were about an hour behind heather, our group of 5 put on a few minutes before a group with a raft and 2 kayak. when we got to the esses, I just thought - oh no! the area we scouted it from on may10 was gone, but we managed to climb out about even with the sycamore; which was about 5' out into the current. we saw a way back in just above the large boulder that protects the sycamore and stayed river right into some huge waves(remember, this was my second trip) a couple of guys portaged the whole island. after eddying out to wait on them, I thought I was going to puke.
that's what it feels like.
had a few close calls and noticed some semi-autobracing, but I didn't swim until after the last rapid before the falls. tboned the rock wall river right after another huge wave turned me when I punched through it.

Yeah had a fun time my son and I were the ones to portage was not going to take a chace. Rest of the time was a blast my son had a smile on his face the whole time after te portage. I swam once bofore te portage so did my son. And i was dry the rest of the trip and my son got wet 2 more time he was ultra tired. I would love to do that in a raft.
