Gauging participation in Buffalo "rally" float Sat

Post by Tim Eubanks » Thu May 22, 2014 11:01 am

Wondering how many have firm plans to go. Lin Wellford informed me that they plan to meet at 9am at Grinders, decorate, take pics and head out. Thanks!

First long weekend with warm sunny weather means I'll likely be on captain duty. If I get a Saturday reprieve I may go for fun and solidarity but won't decorate my boat. The likelihood of lots of the decoration media ending up in the river is too great for me to believe that's a good idea. JMO.

Seems that the US has lost the ability to have meaningful protests. In the past we had (and other countries still have) bombs, rocks, Molotov cocktails, sit in's, blockades, sabotage, etc.

Today we have "likes", "shares", virtual signatures on virtual petitions, and decorated boats.

Hold on. Sig, if you plan to go and set up blockades and deploy Molotovs and sabotage stuff I'm in! Might even decorate my boat. :poke2:

i hear that mostly people that like to mock and alienate the culture that owns most of the land in the BNR watershed is what's taking place.
