Hello all,
I have come from Kauai and find my back needing to work. I have paddled a Hawaiian Outrigger Canoe. And would love to get out on the water again. So I guess I am looking for a paddling buddy or buddies. The more the merrier. I don't know the area, got no canoe or truck YET, but we are working on it. A little about myself. Just about to turn 50 fun fun fun. Happily married, although my Neal is still in Hawaii, for now. Okay, that's enough. So, there you have a little about me. Let's go have some fun in the Arkansas's sun.
Aloha

I could be wrong, but everyone could be jumping to conclusions. The IP address checks out as being in Arkansas. The name tracks to someone who is about 50, has spent time in Hawaii, including a few photos with an outrigger canoe, and a husband named Neal.

Unless this is a really weird case of identity theft, then I'm going to say "Bobbie Jo, forgive us for seeming unfriendly at first, we really have had our share of spammers trying to register on our board. Welcome to Arkansas, and go check out the folks at a NW chapter meeting, you'll find we really are pretty friendly!" I would also add that while many of our club members are more into rivers than large bodies of water, I'm pretty sure Eric would have a sea kayak he could loan you and would love to have company on lake paddles, until you get a chance to figure out what kind of boat and what kind of paddling you want to do here in Arkansas.

I'm guessing NW area. I saw something about Ouachita state park tours.

Sunshine- If you are in NWA, come to our chapter meeting June 2 at 6:30 pm at Foghorns across from Baum stadium. I'll buy you a drink and I would love to hear about outrigger canoeing. -M-

Well, that is a lot to reply to but I shall try. I will tell gober hello. Spam is really good with eggs or with rice with a seaweed wrap. Still learning how to look back to say something about every post. I would love to make the meeting and if it is on a sunday I will be there otherwise no go. Work. And I am right outside of Fayetteville. And would love to go for a lake paddle. The ocean is awesome. Love being in the bottom of the bowl with 10 12 foot waves around you. Check out west kauai canoe club on google. We are a new club there and I am proud to say, Great people lots of aloha. So I wish I could see the post so I could reply. I got to go to work soon so Aloha all I like spam but am not.
Aloha

Yes Luke I do to.I broke my back like 7 years ago and I find Paddling and swimming. And bike riding. Help a great deal. Hey does anyone know of a good pain management doctor that listens? I am in need of one and the one expereniced was not good. What a quack. Neal and I was hiking at Na Pali and I was falling. Neal tried to save me and fell on me. Broke it in two places. So in Hawaii we would swim a mile a day then go to practice for a few hours. Here, I have not swam or bike ride or paddle. So I need some get out there and do some of it. Hope your day goes swimmingly.

Welocme to the ACC board. Do try to make a meeting; some good folks up there.

P.S. Your sign off is not exactly the kind of day most paddlers are looking for. :poke2: ;)

Hello Sunshine,

My family is a big fan of Maui having had many great vacations there. As recently as last year.

This message board does get spammed a lot, sorry for the mistrust. I was a bit dubious myself. Thanks to Boofmaster for doing the research.

I am a long time boater, with a titanium cage holding several of my vertebrae together. Welcome to boating in Arkansas.

Now back to paddling and rowing just as my wife told me "in a different way".

Welcome to the ACC, a fine bunch of folks to paddle with and always ready to bring new paddlers into the sport.

Doubt if you will find those big wave breaks and deep swells to enjoy here in the Great State of Arkansas, but believe me there are places that at the right water level will get the excitement level just as high!

Aloha indeed! And welcome to Arkansas, where we have a similar saying: "Sooie!" I'm about to head out to the islands in two weeks with wife and kids. Never been, and I'm looking forward to it. I hear it's nice there this time of year. And every time of year. We'll be on the big island, Maui, and Honolulu, and I want to do some board surfing and maybe a bit of time in a kayak too. So much water, so little time...
