I'm thinking about getting a mega rocker I found for sale, and want opinions on it from those who have paddled it. Any advice would be helpful.

It is one big a$$ boat you don't want to be in the bottom of the weight range.

I had a Mega Rocker. At the time weighed around 220 plus winter gear and a bunch of rescue stuff in back. This boat handled every thing real well. a great self support boat as well for me.
I am mostly old school and love big boats.
The Mega was a big boat, shaped like a banana with round sides and blunt ends.
My Mega Rocker not give a hoot which way the funny water was coming from, it just slipped over it and took me down the river.
I thought it was one of my top three creek boats ever. And, certainly the one that took great care of me in a bunch of narly rocky runs where I think in any other boat I would have been swimming or hurt.
It was too me a point and paddle and the design would take care of me.
Not the best looking kayak but like I said, no matter how bad I day I had skill wise, my Mega took care of me.
the only problem I have with Mega rockers is mine cracked. Took a few years but eventually it broke.
I would say the Skreem was the creek boat that really got me into creeking and is probably the creek boat that really got me excited about going creeking. Skreem's are getting a bit old as far as kayaks go. Hard to find I think these days.
The best all around creek boat for me was my second generation super hero. Loved that boat. Surfed well, paddled well for me, did ferry moves like on a RR track, carved into and out of eddies like a champ. handled the gnar almost as easy as the Mega did. For me the super hero rail was just about right, in that lean that baby over and you were carving. Otherwise, soft sides let water go under the boat with out catching. Performed well with me and all my gear.
Bottom line if you are looking for a real easy to paddle creek boat and the plastic is good and you are sized for it, a Mega Rocker might do the job for you.
But, if you want more "performance" but still easy to paddle, my bet is a second gen Super Hero would be a good choice.

great info guys thanks for the help. I am 6 feet tall but only 155lbs. I just want to try a bigger boat with a displacement hull. My creek boat right now is a villain s.

I had a large villain as well.
For creeking, Mega was the most forgiving, almost made it too easy
Super Hero was the best all around performer for the way I paddle, would be my first choice of the three for creeking, river running plus it surfed really well - one of my all time favorite designs for what ever runs I happened to be at.
Villain was ok, but was my last choice of the three.
All three good creeking boats,
As was mentioned before, all three boats were designed for boaters a bit heavier than you, but if they work for you, that is what counts.

I don't own one, but if you're interested in a displacement creeker, the one that seems to stand out as a long time favorite with many is the Dagger Nomad. For your size, most folks would chose the 8.5, even though the size charts might point you to a 8.1. The only complaint I've ever heard is that it is a heavy boat, but if you look at the specs, it is only a pound to two more than other comparable size creekers.
