If you're in Memphis, you may also try

They do quite a bit of trips to eastern Tennesse.

Ah, welcome to the midsouthwest! If you want to boat some great class 3-5 whitewater, your best option is to move back to Colorado. Your second best option is to move to anywhere else that has consistent whitewater. Your third best option is to have a job that you can take off middle of the week and pray for rain (hard).
Seriously, the class 4+ boating is few and far between here, and the main thing living in Memphis and trying to boat AR creeks is to be able to leave at a moment's notice (when it pours rain on the watersheds) and to be willing to gamble on 4+ hr drive. I moved from NWA to Kansas City 5 years ago, and it definitely takes some gambling to have a crack at running the good stuff.
When it does happen, me and others are usually trying hard to meet up with someone who is running something good (read "where the biggest water intersects with the highest gradient"). I'd be more than happy to meet you in the middle. Before I moved to KC, I used to be experienced and relatively safe... Some class 4-5 that's closest to you are Possum Walk and Wolf Bayou - and I'll drive to hit either one of those when they're up big and I can squeeze out of responsibilities.
Say hi to my brother by another mother in Memphis, Dr. Sonny, and his clan if you happen across them. Tell him Fish says he needs to come boat Bobtail again with me.
