Cadron Creek Tomorrow, Sat. the 10th

Post by Jim Krueger » Fri May 09, 2014 10:47 am

It looks like the Cadron should be in fine form tomorrow. Marlo and I plan to stop by the Hwy 65 access about 10:30 or so, then head up to CCO for a put-in.

Best Regards
Jim

Where is the put in for CCO?

This section is in the five mile range. With a stop for lunch, and breaks, it will probably be in the four hour range. We floated the creek last weekend at around 2.85ft., it will be a little faster, and a little more frisky tomorrow. Any of you who should be interested, I'm sure we can consolidate at the Hwy 65 access in the morning. The level, as I am writing, is 3.77ft which is in the upper end of the optimum range, I feel like it will be a bit less in the morning, but still a faster float than we had last weekend. A solid class II trip.

Best Regards
Jim

I'm going to give the Cadron a pass tomorrow. I hope for another trip up there fairly soon.

OK. I've loaded the Remix & am in unless the level goes to much over 4'. I've paddled this water for 30 years & know my limits as an old dude with limitations.

We are going to make this run today! Maybe we can meet some others there.

Is anybody interested in an early Mom's day float tomorrow say from CCO down to HWY 65?

Our first time on the Cadron was great! It is beautiful and it's a fun run from CCO to 65. Will go back, hopefully soon.

I would be interested in a trip next week if the levels are still good.
