Haven't been out anywhere yet this year, but the weather looks pretty nice on Saturday. We are thinking of making a trip from a mile or so above the Dragover Campground, down to the Dragover take-out, about 4.5 miles or so.
Interested parties welcome. Meet at the Dragover Camp Ground about 11 am on this coming Saturday morning to set shuttle and go float.

Best Regards
Jim

Thanks for your reply Jeff! We will look forward to some floating with you and Molly pretty soon, I really hope on the Upper Caddo if we can get the weather and water to jive before it gets too late in the season naturally.

Best Regards
Jim

Jim,

Do ya'll have help with a shuttle? I had a really nice paddle today with Chris and Minna, but if you and Marlo are in need of a shuttle, I could join you tomorrow. If you have friends joining you, have a great time!

Out of curiosity, where and on what river is Dragover?

What is the level of difficulty?

Sorry for my ignorance.

Cindy,

We have the shuttle covered, but thank you very much! If you want to join in, please do, otherwise I hope to see you on the Caddo in the near future!

Raynard,

Dragover is a Forest Service Campground on the Upper Ouachita River five miles East of Sims, Ar. it's about two miles off of Hwy 88, there is a forest Service sign on the highway directing you down to the camp. The section itself is about 3 1/2 miles in length with several class I-II rapids. It's called Dragover because the section makes a large horseshoe bend, so that the put-in and take-out are within walking distance of one another.

Best Regards
Jim

Jim, thanks for the info.

We're flat water paddlers, new river paddling. We've done Remmel to Rockport and Baker's Ford to Gilbert on the Buffalo. The class II at Dragover sounds like it might be a little rough for us just yet. We are signed up for Rec School though.

Hope you have a great Saturday.
