Hailstone runs
Hailstone runs
Is anyone interested in running the Hailstone in my 9.5 ft. raft with me, it can hold 3 paddlers comfortably, and is big time fun on the Hailstone. I live in Compton, and can go anytime the run comes up, just need someone to go with. Going in raft makes it a lot easier to do, 15 miles in a kayak is tough on old bones, and the small raft makes it real exciting. I'm just tired of missing it because I don't have anyone to go with.

Sounds like a great opportunity! I'm in NE Okla, but have a very accommodating schedule. If I have 12 hours notice I can meet up anywhere.

Re: Hailstone runs
That's a very generous offer, Roger. After Steve Runnels took me and another on a raft run of the Lower Richland when it was up, I've been waiting for the next opportunity. It's hard to pre-commit ahead of time. Like Grant says, I bet if you posted here on the Paddling Trips Forum the day before, you'll have takers.

Thanks for the replies guys, I will post the next time things look good for the run, and maybe things will come together.
