There's a canoe race being planned on the Eleven Point River to raise funds for a mill restoration project. Kind of pricey, but it looks like you get a lot for your money and it's for a worthy cause. Update. They've extended the registration deadline to March 15th and added a fun run category. Paddlers will have the option of putting in at Whitten rather than Greer and running only eight miles rather than twenty.
