FISHERS FORD WAVES ARE OPEN......
Posted: Fri Jan 24, 2014 6:20 pm
OK boyz and girlz....we have all waited for this and now it's here...sort of....
Shane and the TSP construction crew are done tweaking the waves at the park.
Those Minnesota boys were out in the river for about 6 hours or more in 19 degree water and in waders and
cotton clothes to get the waves open and the river right side blocked.
A lot of work was completed yesterday and the waves were flooded today at about 9 am.
The results were awesome......
The upstream wave has been reshaped and will be great as an eye opener.
Nice glassy out front with easy to attain eddies.
The lower wave is more dynamic, the drop is sharper and the wave shows it.
It appears to be the wave for more advanced moves. Here is a better pic of the second wave These pics were taken around 345 CFS
Gauge height 3.10
Now Who is up for a test run?
The crew is gone for the weekend and it will be 50+ and sunny.
I will be going out tomorrow mid morning 10:00 ish.
The rules remain the same for access.
Park on south side of the bridge.
DO NOT BLOCK ROAD...
Put in at the bridge float down.
When you are done, you may walk or paddle back up the river.
STAY OFF ALL PROPERTY.
The site was ripped off over the holidays and the fuzz is looking for anyone on site.
We don't need that kind of attention.
Stay off the land on river left. It is private and these folks like us right now.
you may see construction guys or the land owner down there as I have invited them
to our inaugural paddle party......
Let's go and have some fun......
Call me if you have any questions.....and I'm not on the river yet.......
