Chris:

Circle B is DEFINITELY planned. As soon as I talk to them (sometimes closed in off season) I'll post specifics. Eminence is a great little town, Circle B clean, quiet, convenient, range of facility options, just A+. Sure hope y'all can paddle with us!!

I'll most likely miss you guys by a few days this time. I plan to go meet up with the Pnutters and they don't arrive in the area until the following weekend. If some of you are still there then that will be a bonus. FYI there's an Eleven Point canoe race scheduled late in April, the 26th I believe. The course is Greer to Riverton. It's a fund raiser for a mill restoration project they're undertaking up there. It's kind of expensive but it's for a good cause and the cost covers camping and shuttle as well as grub and frosty beverages at the takeout. Although it is a race my understanding is there likely won't be many if any hard core competitive racing types. If they do show up with their tandem racing canoes they'll likely provide a chuckle or two when they encounter some of the spots on that river that require quick maneuvering (I've provided a chuckle or two myself in said spots). Anywho, sorry for the hijack, but I thought I'd mention it since y'all will be up there at that time. Here's the link. http://www.elevenpointcanoe.com/race.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You come too.

Gonna try for sure. Had such a good time last Oct. with y'all and the WPC.

El Dorado High School Drama Dept. and the South Ark. Arts Center are doing Le Mis for the Spring Play and it opens that week. Hannah's a 4th year drama student and multiple Honor Bar Thespian so we're gonna have to find a work around.

Probably get disowned as parents if we didn't make at least one performance. :NoNo: :box: :flame:

Keep :crossed:

Deuce,

you must have posted while I was typing my last post. If we can't make Louis' trip we may try to join up with y'all. Hmmm I like having options :think:

The Waco Paddle Club will probably have 7 - 10 paddlers. Look forward to another trip down the river and hope to make the Mulberry one of them it the water levels are good.

I lived in the Birch Tree area years ago and canoed Jack's Fork many times from Alley Springs to Eminence. My memory is terrible, so can someone tell me if it is a trip worthy of a playboat? :myday" Are you starting at Eminence? I have only been down the Current to Owl's Bend one time, so again, the same question applies. I need to visit my grandmother in that area soon, and you may be giving me more reasons to go!

James,

Alley Springs to Eminence is mostly flat water with a few shoals. Not exactly playboat worthy. Not sure about that section of the Current but my guess would be similar water to Jack's Fork. We did ???? Ferry to Pulltite last spring and it was like the Jack's Fork. The sections that I have done on both are mostly long pools (that move) and shoals. These rivers are more suited to Rec. boats and Crossover boats IMO.

Diane,

We are planning on it right now. May not be able to stay all week. There is a possibility that I may have a new job in the next few weeks so that could change things. :crossed:
