Hi Folks,
We are offering our ever popular Wilderness First Aid for Paddlers, March 15-16 at Porterfield's in Malvern.
This is our standard Wilderness First Aid (WFA) course with additional emphasis on common paddling injuries.
The 2 day course is non-stop action packed with hands on training and scenarios. We focus on the most common back-country injuries and give you the opportunity to actually practice just about everything you learn in the program. If you like lecture and powerpoint this is NOT the class for you....
As you see in trip reports on our message board, it doesn't take long for a day trip to turn into a lot more than you bargained for! We teach proven, easy to remember techniques to deal with just about anything you might encounter, from fractures to anaphylaxis.
The cost of the course is 125.00 which includes your textbook and all materials. The program meets the requirements for ACA instructors and BSA as well.
Free camping will be available on site for course participants.
For more information or to register, call me at 479-595-1655 or email SwiftwaterRescue@gmail.com
Cheers!
