I agree with you on the video page.
Not to hijack this thread but based on your post on the emerald mile, I ordered it the same day from Amazon. One of the best reads ever for me. Could not put it down. come to find out I have a bud who rode with factor and his wife on a GC dory trip. also at Phantom Ranch Boaters Beach, I waved to a hiker lady who came across the bridge and sat down maybe 100 feet from me as I was setting on the raft. Couple days later she came by to see me in the hospital where she is on the surgical team. She was married to Factor. Small world isn't it.
Been reading a bunch of GC books later and another excellent one is over the edge, death in the GC. Goes back to the earliest records and details death in the GC. Excellent writing similar to the emerald mile style. highly recommended.
I was amazed at the people who have died there. Believe it or not but it is not the river runners most of the time. It is hikers or sight seeing people who fall.
