looking to join a float

I'm a long time canoeist, but just making the transition to kayaks. Looking to join a float this week or weekend on something not above Class II in NW AR. Based on the river info posted here, looks like the Buff and a few others are up enough. Henry

Might post over in the rec forum as well, if you haven't already. Might be some trips planning there as well.

I'm interested, but which section? Any idea of water level projection for tomorrow? Also, where & when to meet up?

Mulberry should be perfect tomorrow (3-3.5' range). I typically meet at Turner Bend
http://turnerbend.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and go from there. Can't float tomorrow, but had a blast out there today. The upper section of the river is more action packed, but the lower has bigger drops but longer pools.

Thanks, Kru. Since you say you cannot go tomorrow, does that mean no group is going? Or is someone still planning?

I'm sure that someone is planning. It is not normal to get rain this early in the year. You should watch for Mulberry runs or Piney runs (and I am sure that there are a few other in the Little Rock area that I am not aware of). The creeks are up and now is the time to float.

Good Morning mike, Jim Binns and I are going today. We were thinking meeting @ tuners bend around 10. Nothing has been decided for sure, just that we are going.

I said I was dropping out of this thread, but in another I'm working on a meet up at the Mulberry. I'll try to be there around 10ish. Depending on who's floating what part(s), I may be in or with someone else. I'm new enough to not know very many responders, and I'm not confident enough to try something death defying. But I'm definitely coming to see who I might join up with. Henry (as said elsewhere, I'll be in a silver Chev PU, crew cab, with a green kayak).
