Paddlers in Little Rock

Hey everyone, I'm from the Uk and have been in Little Rock for a while. Because of work and having a new baby paddling has been low on my priority list. Now I only have 18 months until I go home to the UK and I need to get on some Arkansas rivers before it's too late.

Problem is I don't know anyone who paddles or wants to paddle the same type of water as me. I'm trying to meet people who like to get on the water, especially as the rainy season starts and the levels come up on some of the more fun stuff.
I have a truck and all my gear with me (new creek boat on order).

Do any of you guys go to the UALR pool sessions, might head down there tonight if it's on.

Doug

I should be at the pool tonight if you want to come by. I keep three boats here and will return at pool time with sprayskirts and paddles. I should be back by 5:45.
The gate for lot two was broken this morning, so you may park there. If you park in a metered space, remember that it doesn't need to be fed after 6pm. ($0.25 per15mins before 6p.)

I can go the Buffalo Friday if you haven't found anyone.

Is the U.K. river difficulty scale I-VI? If so, what class are you looking to paddle?

I might also be able to do Buffalo on Friday, if some folks will be there for sure. I'll keep an eye on the thread.

The river scale is the same in the UK. I'm a bit out of practice on the river but would be looking to paddle class III and then some IV once I'm a bit more practiced.

To cut to the chase, anyone interested in meeting at Ponca bridge on the Buffalo around 10am tomorrow? Gauge looks good now. Henry

If you want to get together and use one vehicle, I have a 16 ft canoe for two people.
I live in LR, let me know, 352-4209.

I guess I'll drop out of this thread plan, as I've decided on a try for the Mulberry tomorrow. If that falls thru, then ???

The Cossatot will still be runnable Saturday and is within your previously stated parameters. There will be plenty of paddlers.
