Anyone live near Houston Texas who would be willing to pick up an old kayak not made anymore and work to pass it along a line of paddlers eventually getting it to NW Arkansas or the Buffalo? Not in a hurry to get it, but trying to get it without driving 10 hours each way as my knee is still giving me problems. (I another surgeon OCT 23rd trying to figure out what went wrong with my knee replacement after only 2 years.)

I'd be willing to buy some gas or beer in exchange for your help. Idea is that I would pay the person for the kayak and then have someone pick it up and pass it to any paddler coming north. The kayak is a Savage "V" Skreem and getting it would let Susan and I both paddle the same model kayak, which we both like. I gave Susan my old one when I thought that I was not going to be able to paddle K1 anymore, and she likes it, so it is HERS. Now I am trying to find one for ME. I could buy a newer kayak, but I really like the Skreem.

Eric, if you can find someone to get it transported the three hours to Waco we can probably take it from there. WPC is sending a contingent to Missouri next week, and if they can bring it there I'll take it back to central Arkansas and deliver it to you next time I come, or my friend Gary can take it home to Tulsa with him and I bet Bruce can pick it up next time he goes there. I'm speaking for some folks, but I don't think they'd mind.
