Heard recently about some class 4 fun on the spillway below lake Norrell. Looks like a short drive from Little Rock, so anybody know when they let the water out, and when it is good to run?
Also, anyone know any other class 4's around the state other than Richland and Cossatot?

Yeah, there's a few 4 and maybe 5's out there depending on level and rain. Gotta start looking at the stuff that feeds into Richland and a few other streams. Might start with this for an introduction:

As for Norrell, keep an eye on here or FB if you are "friends" with people who will know. Takes rain to fill the lake to make a flow.
Good luck in your search.

Re: Release Schedule for lake Norrel?
Pete,
Like Roger said, just keep an eye out for folks posting runs on it, it's probably somewhat similar to a half mile of the Hailstone type water in the gorges , only with 'very' much sharper rocks, and a group of no trespassing signs
This run happens when Lake Norrell is full to the brim in the Winter, and early Spring seasons, and when we're having a bunch of rain. The run is a result of water flowing over the spillway, rather than being released in to the North Fork of the Saline down below the dam.
