Central Chapter folks: got an electric skillet?

Post by Tim Eubanks » Sun Sep 08, 2013 6:06 pm

Hey, we need 4 electric skillets for breakfast at Rendezvous. Anybody got one around that you'd be willing to bring or loan for the weekend?

Tim,

I don't have even one electric skillet, but do have a two-burner 'Cajun Cooker' (Propane) I'd be glad to loan, and with fuel. However, you'd need two regular cast iron, or other type skillets to use on it. The rig stands up on three foot tall legs, at a pretty convenient height. I know you probably want the electric skillets specifically, but I just wanted to throw this out as a back-up should it be needed. :D

Got one, Tim. Should be there to help with breakfast, if needed.

I have a flat electric griddle and a smaller square deep electric skillet. Be glad to lend either/both or man them myself. I'll also have my four burner stove that can be pressed into service. You know where to find me.
You come too.

Square skillet will fill the bill. We are good to go!

After checking with the breakfast supervisor, I was mistaken about how many we needed. Four is the magic number. We're half way there. Thanks!

I have one that is about 14"x24". More of a griddle. Flat with low sides and a drain hole. Will that work?

Thanks Steve. I think the 2 needed skillets have been "donated" for the cause.
