Rendezvous Sponsorship

Hey folks,

For those of you who don't know, it was Jeremy's vision when he took on organizing Rendezvous that the club develop ways to defray the cost of the weekend long event so that the event was free (or pretty darn close to free). American Canoe Association members now are free, but there's still a $5 event fee for non-ACA members to cover our insurance costs (thus the "darn close to free" comment).

Under Jeremy's leadership, our annual get-together in September now uses sponsorships to defray the costs associated with renting Camp Couchdale for the weekend. It's now VERY EASY for anyone - company or individual - to help sponsor Rendezvous!

Just go to the main ACC website, and choose the Donations page from the menu. Fill out the donation form choosing "Rendezvous Sponsorship" and make the donation via PayPal.

We announced this at our Central Chapter meeting tonight and already two Central Chapter members - Chris Handley and John Fletcher - made donations on behalf of their companies. Thank you!!!!

Corporate sponsorship of Rendezvous is a suggested $100 donation, but frankly, any member could choose to donate toward defraying the costs of Rendezvous with any amount - $20, $30, $50. If you are talking with businesses about sponsoring Rendezvous, direct them to the website...it's very easy!
