A group of us are planning to once again paddle our favorite dam fed, summer river. The release times this year keep moving up, this week the release time is 11a.m. I will be shuttling from the put-in (Riverside Park) at about 10 minutes before the release time(10:50a.m.) All are welcome to join us. Hey Bob. Not sure if you meant Monday, but today is the 26th. Also the release is the same time as last week which is 11 like you said. However, we showed up last Thursday to float at 11 and nada. So we drove up to the dam and rang the door bell. Someone came and said that "they usually turn it on around 12". We went back and waited and it came on about 12:10. Just be prepared to chill for an hour if that happens again. I'd go, but we are headed East.

I'ld like to tag along too, Bob. Are we meeting at the put in or take out? 10:50? Also, is anybody going interested in carpooling from LR area? I'll be headed to Murpheesboro from the Cabot area. My contact info (call or text) is 501 six 05 seven 11 four.

Although only 3 of us paddled today we had a great trip. The water was in fact turned on at 11a.m.as promised, and the 90 degree temperatures made the cool water feel even better. We put-in more the 1/2 an hour behind the release time and we rapidly caught up to the head of the flow. A monday trip is in the planning depending on the release. Keep an eye on the board for information as it develops. BOB

Just wanted to thank you guys for a great float. That was the most fun I've had in a while. Can't wait to do it again.

Do we know if SWEPCO is going to generate on Monday, September 2nd? I checked their website; they still haven't posted a spreadsheet for next week's releases.

Swepco just posted the schedule. 24.0 releasing in the hour ending at 1300 (possibly starting at noon).

I am looking to catch the release on Monday the 2nd if anyone doesnt mind me tagging along. What time are yall meeting at the takeout? I have met a few of yall at the Cossatot and Rockport.

Looks like three generators starting at noon and running until 9pm.

We four (Monkey will probably be with us) are in for Monday.
