Re: Kayaker saved Video!
Held my breath thru most of that video.
Swimmer was awfully lucky to float into and hold to the rock crevice.
Rescue boater is the man for sure. Number one just getting out of his kayak and up that cliff was about as cool as it gets. Next that rock had to be slippery as grease in a hot fry pan. Yet he braced himself perfectly for the throw and rescue pull. I have done rope throws from rocks like that (tho not close to a massive waterfall - and footing is treacherous for sure.
Talk about pressure on the throw as well then the strength and bracing it took to hit the target and then pull in the swimmer.
All in all the most scary and inspiring video I have seen in a long time.
That is the man anybody would want to boat with, just in case.
Then cool as cool can be he ran the drop.
really appreciate you sharing this one
Hard to get any better than this one !

Dave, that's Dave Fusilli. He was hitting all cylinders in that sequence!

Thanks Roger, must be one of the new young guns as I am not familiar with him.
But, far as I am concerned he made his bones on that run and has nothing but my highest admiration for a job well done looking after his bud and then finishing the waterfall.
I think I might have hit the nearest tequila cantina and quickly got down to the worm after that day's run!

Make that 101 reasons why you should practice your rope throw before hitting the water!
