Anybody going today? I'm considering loading up and leaving out from Marshall for my first Helton's to Long Pool run...

I'm real tempted . . . . But my classroom's a disaster and those kids will show up Monday, whether I'm prepared or not. And getting off to a bad start only leads to worse as the year goes on. Sooooo . . . once-in-a-decade paddling in Aug. vs. being responsible . . . .

My girlfriend is ready to step up her mild whitewater game and I'm looking at the Piney on Sat. We're in twin rec boats and I would be teaching her whitewater skills along the way.
