After finishing a really nice Remmel-to-Rockport trip today, I left my paddle unattended on the bank near the ledge for a few minutes. When I went back to pick it up, it was gone.
After looking up and down the bank for the paddle, I asked the tubers at the bottom of the ramp if they'd seen anyone take it. 'Oh yeah,' one guy said, 'I liked it and thought I might take it home. I put it up there by my stuff.' It wasn't there, though. It was gone.
So, if he's to be believed, HE stole my paddle once, and then some OTHER person stole it from him. I think this is a pretty fishy story, but one way or another, my paddle is gone.
It's a Werner Desperado, black, with red tape around the shaft. It has our name and number on the blades. Keep an eye out for it, would you please?

You should have asked him which item of his he wanted to give you in trade, and tough s%*t that he didn't have your paddle anymore.
Thanks for the warning, and sorry for your loss. My kids once left their entire kayak kit at the ramp and went off to wade the ledge. Then they stood there and rolled their eyes as I yelled at them.

Probably should have posted this earlier. Told Aly about it on the 6th. That same day someone helped themselves to between 4 and 5 gallons of gas out of my SUV.
