Hi ya'll,
I'm thinking about doing a Fri/Sat trip to the ledge from Meowmfus, and it appears camping spots at Lake Catherine are full. Are there any other nearby options? I nabbed a spot at DeGray time, but I'd like to see if I could find something closer.
Thanks in advance,
Michael

Thanks for the info! Guess I'll take my chances with one or the other; hate I can't reserve something, though.

I also most agree with Lake DeGray or Gulpha Gorge, for their shade, and proximity to Malvern. I'm old enough I don't care very much for tent-camping any more, but if I did, I'd sure try and spring for the few extra bucks for a site with electricity so I could run a fan
One camping aspect not addressed so far is at the WW Park itself, you can actually camp there as well, er in the vicinity, but it is not yet developed very well for that at present, and one must definitely visit with the city to secure a permit beforehand. This area has a group of potential for camping, and where we've made many strides with just the access here, I hope the potential for those wishing to camp here may also improve in time.
Best Regards
Jim

A group of us actually did camp at the WW park on my first trip over, but we didn't know we needed a permit. Drove all over the area looking for a site and couldn't find one anywhere, so we just headed back to the park and pitched tents. Never got hassled; was a nice quiet evening.
I may give city hall a call on my way over...thanks again for all the input!
