Jim Dandy (Christy Lauden) to the Rescue!

We took the big raft over to Remmel yesterday, did not bother to look at the gauge. Uneventful but enjoyable trip with the family , Jay on the sticks.
Saw a "rescue" boat headed upstream, figured they were on a training run. When we got to the ledge and parked the raft at the ramp, folks were talking about somebody being in trouble down at the bridge and that somebody in a kayak had gone down to help (Christy). The rescue boat came to the ramp and then went down to check the guy in trouble at the bridge.
A few minutes later, a truck with Christy and her kayak pulled up at the ramp.
Christy had gone down to the bridge and fished a couple of very distressed tubers off the bridge and got them to the bank and calm water.
We later learned that the boat had gone up river to get some tubers out of the trees. Evidently they went left at that first island and couldn't handle the current.
