SOUTH FORK OF THE LITTLE RED RIVER VIDEO

If you Class II paddlers out there have not been on the South Fork of the Little Red River about 20 miles west of Clinton, near the small community of Scotland, a thrilling treat awaits you. I would recommend a higher water level than what Steve Heye and I paddled it at, 5.43 feet on the USGS gage that is near the put-in:

I'd say between 6.0 and 6.5 would be a great level for a group of paddlers who can support one another. Here's a link to a brief video that just shows some highlights of the action and not much of the great scenery:
